Lost In Translation

Week: 9

I am here to provide a resource, to talk about my experience in the clinical psychology program here at the Chicago School and give you the inside scoop. Mid-terms are just finishing up and due to a "change in the batting order" my last test has been pushed to next week.

I have been cramming a lot of information into my head and now that I have been given and extra week I have to establish another Rule of Matt. I will be throwing out some of my rules to live by in each of these hoping that you learn from my mistakes. Rule: 1, why give yourself a week when you can have two weeks.

It is a tough lesson to learn in graduate school for those of us that didn't learn in in undergrad but you really can't give yourself to much time to get things done. If you think that you need a week to study for something go ahead and give yourself two-weeks. Why get a B when you can get an A+.

Just in case here are some cramming strategies:

I also wanted to give you a site for making free flash-cards on-line. This is a great resource and I have already created a bunch of sets to study the DSM-IV. If you don't feel like making them just type in the subject and chances are some other struggling student has made a set or two.

The experience I am having right now is tough and really pushing my abilities but I am enjoying the Chicago School and looking forward to more.
